@differentsurgical I’ve created a downgrade/upgrade that contains all FOUR firmwares (1.6i, 1.6a, 2.1i, 2.1a) that works on both x32 and x64 and comes with Java built-in.
Check back in a few hours for the video and upload.

@BluechipJ, You are right. The flash wasn’t complete. I keep getting the same error message, ” cannot find batch file, Win7 64. Same with other versions. Any suggestions?

I’m also having the “Model: Unknown” problem. Any other solutions? =

@BluechipJ Thanks for the video … but now Timescape force closes on phone startup, and most other apps fc when I open them. Also, PC Companion doesn’t recognize the phone. I’ve re-flashed it 5 times, including different versions of the firmware. I’ve tried PC Companion on two PCs, even tried uninstalling/reinstalling it. No dice. Can’t upgrade, can’t repair. Any suggestions?

yeah, i get the same thing, most applications force close and pc companion won’t recognize it…. any ideas bluechip?

I’ve check after downgrading from 2.1 to 1.6, SEUS don’t recognize phone and in about phone model is mentioned as ” unknown” , and cannon view phone book too as timescape error occurs, any solution so could update phone using SEUS ?
@BluechipJ Very thanks for prompt reply, I really appreciate. Actually it shows same time scape and media error like in your video, will seus able to update and recognize my phone and fix this issue? I am just worried that official seus isn’t canceled if it was flashed to 2.1 nordic and back 1.6 by me. main reason I downgraded is that seus wasn’t recognizing when it was 2.1 not for update but even reinstalling current as it allows before next update release.

@elicksa Flash wasn’t complete. Flash again or try another 1.6 ROM.

@differentsurgical Just means the update for your region/wireless carrier isn’t out yet. If you’re on Rogers, the 2.1 update is being released staggered across Canada so that the servers aren’t overloaded. e.g. one city at a time. As of 18:00 EST, it wasn’t available in Toronto yet.

This guy sounds like a know-nothing sales advisor from a PC hardware store. Acronyms like WPA and WEP are confusing enough without him swapping one for WAP two times during this video, which is something else entirely. His explanation of bandwidth for the network vs the net connection is also a load of horse dung.
@Hykon29 well, you need the network adapter only if your laptop doesnt have a built in wifi connection. if your laptop has a built in wifi connection, then you dont need the network adapter. it would be a waste to buy a wireless router if you need a network adapter for your laptop. xP

@callofpaul With the latest firmware, running 2.4GHZ at 270MBit I get 246 all the way across to the other side of my house. (3500 Sqr foot house) 5GHz signal drops too much to get as good of signal strength. But it still does 120 to 150 mbits across the house at 5ghz.

@Tburt08 really? i found the new firmware slowed my connection and also dropped connection alot!…it was so bad i had to re-install the previous software.

@Devspagnola I have had nothing but good results with my WNDR3300. Good range, and great speeds. Try updating the firm ware. That did wonders for me.

@DayLight95 o lol someones mad. Sign of a child. Well whatever i made a mistake. Sorry for my mistake. And kid im not an “asshole” so grow up.
Oh yeah dude really forget about netgear, for me when netgear fails I use d link which seems to have better awards. 2wire is good just … I wouldn’t really recommend it.
Peace to you. Smoke some weed for your anger btw.

@ps310 no the dg834n isn’t a g router its an N+ and at the time it was top of the range so stfu you don’t know anything asshole
about 1 year ago
@DayLight95 Pretty childish to say netgear sucks based on one bad experience with one of netgears cheapest and slowest routers! its a G router of course its not going to live up to your expectations…………
about 1 year ago
netgear is terrible. i had nothing but trouble with my dg834n and it burnt out so i put in my trusty 2wire 2700hg-b and the internet is so much faster
